The Destruction of Apathy
It seems spiritual apathy can creep in unnoticed, even when God is working in powerful ways.

The Distraction Dilemma
God is too easily forgotten in all of the madness of our busy lives. Who has time to pay attention to spiritual things? We can sometimes be too busy, tired, overwhelmed, or entertained to care.

Overcoming Spiritual Fatigue
Even though we long to lead well, we have allowed the subtle yet rigorous work of shepherding to rob us of hope and lead our hearts into distracted and weary places.

Set My Hope
To have Biblical hope is not an escape from reality or difficult circumstances. It doesn’t leave us idle or drifting. If the object of our hope is centered on God, it will move us to action. Hope moves us forward.

Why am I always in such a hurry?
Being hurried is an inner condition, a condition of the soul. It means being so preoccupied with myself and my life that I cannot be fully present with God, myself, and other people. Busyness migrates to hurry when we let it squeeze God out of our lives.

What God reveals in our stillness is necessary.
It is so easy for us to forget who God is and when we forget who God is, we reach for every other possibility for help. Stillness helps us find security in God. When we slow down we gain a clear understanding and awareness of who God is.
